Carson Harris Web is a website design business run by Carson Harris in Lubbock, Texas. This page explains what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.
What I collect
- What you send me. Your name, business details, email address, phone number and anything else you include when you email, call or text me.
- Client project information. If you hire me, the answers and files you submit through my intake form, plus the contract and payment records for your project.
- Public business information. To find businesses I may be able to help, I collect publicly listed details such as a business name, phone number, website, business email address and a contact's name.
- Website visits. My site and preview pages use Cloudflare to deliver pages and measure traffic. That records basics such as your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you view. If I send you a private preview link, I can see whether and when it was opened.
This site does not set advertising cookies or have you create an account.
How I use it
- To reply to you and to send business outreach about my services
- To prepare mockups, quotes and contracts, and to build and support your website
- To keep business, tax and legal records
- To keep my site secure and understand how it's used
Who I share it with
I don't sell your information or share it for other companies' advertising. I use service providers that handle information on my behalf, including Google (email, forms and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting and analytics), GitHub (private business records), Zoho (electronic signatures) and Anthropic (AI tools I use for research, writing and building sites). I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep information as long as it's useful for the purposes above or needed for tax and legal records. If you ask not to be contacted, I keep your contact details on a do-not-contact list so that I can honor the request.
Your choices
- Stop my emails: reply "no thanks" or use the unsubscribe option in any marketing email.
- Stop my calls: tell me on a call, or email me.
- See, correct or delete your information: email me and I'll respond. Some records may need to be kept for tax or legal reasons.
Browsers can send "Do Not Track" signals. This site doesn't respond to them differently.
Security and children
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storing or sending information is completely secure. My services are for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll post the new version here and update the date above.
